David Sheiner is an Industrial Technology teacher at South El Monte High School. He completed his bachelor’s degree at Illinois State University in 1998. After college he received his first teaching position at prestigious Lake Forest High School teaching computer aided design and architecture design. After two great years he decided it was time for a change of scenery and moved to sunny Newport Beach, California with a teaching position lined up with the Corona Norco Unified School District at Norco Intermediate School. While at Norco Intermediate David taught computer applications and was involved with coaching. He held numerous coaching positions in football, basketball, and baseball including head varsity baseball coach and assistant varsity basketball coach. Currently, David is still teaching at South El Monte High School and is enrolled at Boise State University working on his Masters of Educational Technology. He is on track to graduate in the spring of 2015 and then pursue his Administration credential. David hopes to use his knowledge to become a Director of Educational Technology and help schools make the transition from traditional classrooms to a blended student centered approach to education.
